The aim of our horse breeding
The aim of our horse breeding is to breed a healthy Lusitano with strong nerves, a good disposition, excellent character and very good movements, which is suitable for working equitation, as a dressage horse and as a show jumper, as well as for the ambitious leisure rider and, of course, for classical dressage.
Our breeding stallions
Jupiter
Jupiter was bred by Leonie Bühlmann, Yeguada La Perla, and is a son of Vibrante la Broa (MV). With his beautiful ram's head and strong neck, Jupiter is a typical baroque horse. He is particularly ambitious and has a fantastic work ethic and willingness to perform. This stallion impresses with his very special charisma. He is very devoted to people, friendly, pious as a lamb and, thanks to his excellent character, can also be ridden by weaker riders
Madriles
Madriles comes from the breeding of Vitorino Martin Andrés. Madriles is a grandson of the famous Violino (SS) and his pedigree includes many of the great names of Portuguese bullfighting. The baroque fly grey with his beautiful head and perfectly shaped chest combines all the characteristics of a bullfighting horse: highly sensitive, reactive, agile, persistent, willing to perform and people-oriented.
In addition to the stallions presented here, we also regularly use stallions from other well-known breeders.
Oamo
Oamo was bred by Michaela Kleba and is a compact, extremely well-built baroque Lusitano with an incredibly good character and sensational movements. This very friendly young stallion has an excellent working attitude, is always hard-working and extremely relaxed.
His dam Alfarroba (MK) is a daughter of Finorio (MMV) who was licensed with 78.5 points. (MMV), a son of Nilo (MV) and a granddaughter of Xaquiro (CI) on his dam's side.
Alfarroba is one of the best mares multiple gold medal winner. Oamo's sire is the stallion Almirante, who was licensed with 75.5 points. Almirante is not only beautiful, but also passes on his good gaits and excellent character to his offspring.
Oamo will be presented for licensing in July 2024.
Our broodmares
The broodmares form the heart of Jupiter Classical Dressage.
They not only pass on all their knowledge, but also their very special wisdom to their foals.
It is not for nothing that many breeders attach more importance to a horse's dam line than to its sire.
The mares shown here are a selection. We currently have around 40 broodmares in our stock.

The stallions Estoiro, Finorio and Xaquiro are formative for the breeding of Jupiter Classical Dressage.
Finorio (MMV)
The stallion Finorio (MMV) is a son of the stallion Nilo (MV), who has had a lasting influence on Lusitano breeding to this day with his 216 offspring. Through his dam Quadrada 11 (MMV), Finorio carries the blood of the stallion Guizo (MV), who is said to be "like a good perfume. Two or three drops are more than enough for a good scent over a long period of time." Of the 202 Lusitanos who have excelled in dressage and participated in Grand Prix competitions, 113 have the stallion Guizo (MV) in their genealogy.
Estoiro (JBF)
The stallion Estoiro (JBF), who was awarded 5 stars by the APSL breeding association, has Firme (SA) twice in his genealogy. The stallion Firme, born in 1956, achieved all possible honors in bullfighting. Through his 50 sons, such as Novilheiro (MV), who made a name for himself worldwide in show jumping under John Whitaker, and Opus 72 (MV), Neptuno (MV) and Nilo (MV), who, like their sire, were extremely successful in bullfighting, he left a lasting mark on Lusitano breeding. His sire qualities are still highly valued today.
Xaquiro (CI)
The Lusitano stallion Xaquiro (C|), who was also awarded 5 stars by the breeding association, has the highest stallion grading ever awarded for gaits, which he shares with his son Spartacus and his grandson Escorial. With his strong gaited sons, Xaquiro has shaped contemporary Lusitano breeding like no other.
